2018 Black Tie Bingo
Another sold-out evening for the 5th Annual Black Tie Bingo! Over 350 guests enjoyed a fabulous meal, tried to outbid each other at the Silent Auction and worked their BINGO cards in the hopes of winning valuable prizes.
Tension punctuated with jubilant shouts of BINGO! reverberated through the night – a fun way to raise money for two worthy causes.
More than $60,000 was raise for the OutCare Foundation and the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa, helping seniors and those requiring palliative care in the Ottawa region.
2017 Black Tie Bingo
On Saturday, November 18, a sold-out crowd of over 350 fabulous bingo enthusiasts gathered for Ottawa’s only annual Black Tie Bingo! Fundraiser. The fourth edition of this event was a huge success raising an impressive $70,000 for the OutCare Foundation and the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa. Funds will be used for those who require palliative care and to purchase much-needed equipment to improve the quality of life of seniors living in not for profit long-term care.
The Ottawa Conference and Event Centre was transformed into the most elegant bingo hall in the city. Presented by Family Tree Wealth Management, IPC Securities Corporation, this formal yet exciting event was a huge hit with guests enjoying a string quartet while mingling at the reception and browsing the impressive selection of silent auction items before taking their seats for a scrumptious dinner. Emcee Catherine Clark skillfully guided the players through seven sometime nail-biting games of bingo.
“This event is just so much fun,” commented Adam Nihmey, Founder and Chairman of the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa. “Guests really get competitive when playing bingo for such great prizes,” remarked the Honourable Sharon Carstairs, P.C., C.M., the OutCare Foundation’s Chair.
Funds raised will support the good work of the OutCare Foundation and the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa helping individuals who need palliative care and to improve the quality of life of residents in not for profit long-term care. It will ensure that people are comfortable, well taken care of, and treated with dignity in their remaining years. The third edition of this event was a huge success raising an impressive $63,000 for the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa and the OutCare Foundation. Funds will be used to purchase important equipment to improve the quality of life of seniors living in not-for-profit long-term care and those who require palliative care.

2014 Black Tie Bingo
On November 22, 2014, Ottawa’s first Black Tie Bingo! Annual Fundraiser was a huge success raising an impressive $50,000 for the Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa and the OutCare Foundation. Presented by MediSystem Pharmacy (a Shoppers Drug Mart Company), this unique event was a big hit with the 300 who gathered at the Westin Hotel on Saturday. Guests enjoyed mingling at the reception and browsed the impressive selection of silent auction items. After an incredible meal, the bingo games began. Emcee Catherine Clark worked closely with professional bingo hall operators Friends’ Bingo guiding guests through five fun-filled and sometimes quite intense bingo games.
